I always had trouble with charging for energy healing. This weekend, someone asked a wonderful spiritual energy healing teacher that she does not feel comfortable to charge. On the other hand, another person said she would not feel comfortable as a receiver not to share her gratitude. Honestly, I feel the same way too when I am a receiver. Then the teacher put it in such a beautiful way. She said we live in this duality with this infinity of give and take cycle, which keeps the flow of energy, flow of love, flow of gratitude, flow of economic and many other infinity flow cycles going. She shared how she handles it. She is a registered medium at Lilydale and a well known spiritual energy healer and teacher, but she does not have a standard fee. She lets the receivers donate whatever they could, and trusted God and the universe will provide what she needs to live.
It really inspired me. I always were not sure if I should charge or not. The healing work is really done by divined spirits, and I am only a candoer who bridges between the divined spirits and receivers. However, we (healers) are living beings on this physical world, and we have physical needs: paying bills, buying food, taking care of family, and etcs. At the same time, receivers may also want to share their gratitude. There are also receivers who need the healings, but having financial struggles. Although they want to share their gratitude, they may not be able to afford whatever fee a healer is charging. It reminded me that gratitude cannot be measured by its physical values, but it is that heart counts. At the same time, I felt that I have to consistently remind myself not to forget my initial will of being a healer was to serve, and share the love of God. Embarrassedly, I do get lost in this physical world sometimes and forgot my initial will.
It was another thing that I was really inspired by this spiritual healing teacher. It is easy to be modest when we are nobody. For her, being a well known healer and teacher, she still kept being such a humble, simple, sincere and loving being. It reminded me of the sayings, before we were enlightened, we chop woods and carry water. After we were enlightened, we still chop woods and carry water. Spiritual enlightenment isn’t a destination where we become better than others. it is simply a home of our spirits/soul. We simply returned back to the purity of our soul. On this path, it is essential to remember our initial will to avoid being distracted by our ego, our worldly desires and others.
For all the healers and spiritual workers out there, I don’t mean you all should not charge for the wonderful services you provide. Each of us has our own stories (responsibilities and financial situations) on this physical world. What it matters the most is our heart. We don’t own anyone any explanations, we just need to be truthful to ourselves. Nobody has the right to judge anyone. Only God makes the final judgement. Each of us just needs to be truthful to ourselves.
At this point of my life, I am grateful that I can provide free healings but open for donations.
