Be Careful of What We Wish For

We all are familiar with the old sayings “Be careful of what we wish for.” Recently, an old friend highly recommended me a movie “The Interstate 60”, and asked me to let her know after I watch it. I trusted she must have her reasons. So I picked the movie as my Saturday night entertainment without much expectations. But the movie blew my mind away. I loved it!

The movie has many positive messages to inspire us to be a happier person, and I felt like the list could go on forever:

  • Mean what we say and do what we mean
  • Be careful of what we wish for
  • Things in life happen for reasons
  • Be truthful to ourselves
  • Be honest to others about our feelings
  • It is fine to chase our dreams
  • Follow our passions and what our hearts desire
  • Be honest and kind to others
  • Be open minded to things in life because what we see, hear or know may not be the absolute truth
  • etc……

It also reminded me a speech that a speaker opposed the quote “Men achieve their success by lying”. The speaker said “No, lies won’t get us far in life because we need more lies to cover lies. Eventually we get so lost in our own lies. Only the honesty gets us to where we want to be in life!”

if you found any additional messages in the movie, please feel free to add to my list , and I would love to know what your thoughts on it.
